Tan Sri Musa Mohamad Library

The Tan Sri Musa Mohamad Library, formerly known as the UCSI University Library, is located at Block B of UCSI University Kuala Lumpur Campus. It was originally established in 2000 alongside the founding of UCSI College at Taman Segar. In 2003, the institution was granted University College status by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia and was renamed UCSI (University College Sedaya International). Following this development, the Library was relocated from Taman Segar to Taman Connaught in the same year, where it remains today. On 22 Aug 2025, the UCSI University Library was officially renamed the Tan Sri Musa Mohamad Library as a heartfelt tribute to the late Tan Sri Musa Mohamad, who served as UCSI University Council chairman, Group chairman and Group advisor, and made significant contributions to the University’s academic growth and advancement.

The five-storey Library currently houses approximately 50,000 volumes of textbooks, reference works, printed journals, music scores and multimedia resources to support self-directed learning and research. Librarians are readily available to guide and assist users in all aspects of library services, facilities and digital platforms. Workstations with internet access, email facilities, the Library’s online catalogues, e-books, e-journals and other online databases are available free of charge during operating hours. With a seating capacity of up to 500 users at a time, the Library is well-equipped to support UCSI University’s programmes and its growing student population.

Our mission is to provide excellent resources, services and facilities that support teaching, learning and research at UCSI University.

Objectives

• To support education and research by acquiring information resources to fulfil the needs of the University community, including teaching staff, administrative staff and students.
• To process, organise and provide access to resources in accordance with high library standards and best practices
• To provide training and learning opportunities that enable users to effectively utilise library resources for their continuous needs.
